Our Story
In the summer of 2022, while on sabbatical from the University of Colorado Boulder, Tim and Lenore decided to move to rural Colombia to study Spanish and for Tim to continue his sociological research on happiness in Latin America. They arrived in Jericó, Antioquia sight unseen and immediately became enchanted with the colorful town, the people, the cycling culture (low tech, high enthusiasm), and the endless gravel riding through breathtaking landscapes.
After hundreds of hours of two-wheeled exploration they decided with their friend Jorge to start Colombia Bicycle Adventures.
The Team
Colombia Bicycle Adventures is a close-knit team. We are dedicated to creating small group tours that foster genuine connections with local people, Colombian culture, and the natural beauty of the region.
Our Mission
Our mission is to share the thrill and beauty of biking in Colombia with cyclists from around the world, while supporting local family-owned businesses in and around Jericó. Our business is built on relationships within the community, and we are committed to environmentally low-impact and culturally sustainable tourism. Our intention is to benefit the communities where we spend time. As part of this commitment, we donate 10% of our profits to community organizations in and around Jericó.
